Last week, Kim and I were thrilled to host a webinar for an audience of educational therapists, parents, teachers, and more for the Association of Educational Therapists.
The theme of our talk was executive function, specifically helping both adults and their students to understand that executive function is not all about deficits. Instead, we want people to come to understand executive function as a framework for understanding each student as a unique combination of strengths and challenges. Building on this understanding, we can use executive function assessment tools and learning strategies to help students achieve their goals. This process, though hard at times, is transformative.
