Executive Function with a Side of Mashed Potatoes

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the SMARTS Executive Function program!

While the holidays can be stressful, especially for students with ADHD or learning differences, a bit of planning can make it a special day for everyone. We hope all of you are enjoying time off surrounded by family, friends, and good food!

Don’t forget, some foods (e.g., blueberries and smoothies) are better than others for your executive function. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that mashed potatoes aren’t the best for brain function, but maybe cranberry sauce is?

On behalf of our entire SMARTS staff, please conduct extensive research on the effects of Thanksgiving food on executive function by having a second helping of everything.
