36th Annual EF Conference Spotlight: Teacher Panel

This post is part of a series that highlights the events and speakers of this year’s 36th Annual Executive Function Conference, which will focus on promoting resilience and equity for ALL students.

What role do executive function strategies play in creating equitable learning environments? At ResearchILD’s conference on November 11th and 12th, you can hear from a panel of educators and administrators who are working to provide equitable learning opportunities for all students.

Panel: Executive Function and Equity in Schools – Success Stories from Administrators and Teachers

Regine Philippeaux, Ed.D., and Donna Bowen, M.S., are two members of ResearchILD’s 2021-2022 Executive Function and Equity Fellowship. Fellows gather monthly along with staff from the Institutes for Learning and Development to explore how educators can remove barriers and ensure students have the tools they need to succeed in school and in life.

Julie Jarvis, Ed.D., and Veronica Miller, M.S., were guest speakers at ResearchILD’s EF and Equity fellowship gathering in late 2020 where they shared about the ways they support students and work to preserve the language and culture of the Northern Arapaho tribe. At ResearchILD’s 36th Annual Executive Function Conference, they will be joined by their colleague, Emily Petty, B.S., a 6th-grade teacher at Arapahoe Middle School on Wind River Reservation.

These experts will discuss the programs and approaches they have used to implement executive function strategy instruction across many grades and content areas. This panel will take place on Thursday, November 11th, at 11:20 a.m. This presentation (along with all other live presentations) will be recorded, and conference attendees will have access to recordings and materials until January 31, 2022.
